Caroline Angelard, PhD. I studied Biology and Evolution in France, then I completed a PhD in Switzerland. I did 3 years of postdoc after that, with a Marie Curie Fellowship IOF. I spent two years in Bloomington, Indiana, followed by one year in Lausanne, Switzerland. I am currently working at Frontiers, still in Lausanne. Frontiers is a community-oriented open-access academic publisher and research network. I present in this website my interest in science and I explain why I decided to work on mycorrhizal fungi. I obtained a Marie Curie Fellowship IOF to do my postdoc. The grants proposed by Marie Curie Actions are really good, if you want more information: http://www.become-a-scientist.com/2012/02/marie-curie-fellowship.html In the Blog, Become a Scientist, I speak about science and scientists. I want to explain the work of a researcher, I present also recently published studies by other scientists and I open some debates on scientific subject I am interested in. I will also present some grant opportunities, with useful links and advice. I want to share my own experience in the field to hopefully help other researchers or (crazy!) people thinking about becoming a researcher. You can find also links for my blogs "Beauceron - Chimay", "Day by Day recipe", and "Chimay and Co". |
